Formula 1 and the FIA have been issued with a remarkable proposal designed to get a new team onto the grid which would have no effect on the prize pot for the current teams.
The move comes after the FIA approved the bid of Andretti on technical and sporting grounds last October following an exhaustive ‘Expressions of Interest’ process, only for F1 to reject the American outfit four months later, disparagingly citing the fact it would not add value to the sport.

Alpine F1 announce shock appointment to lead technical team
The Alpine Formula 1 squad has announced it has appointed David Sanchez to the newly created role of Executive Technical Director.
Sanchez will oversee the technical department at Enstone and will have responsibility for the Performance, Engineering and Aerodynamic areas of the squad.

Max Verstappen is sure that Red Bull will not be affected by the impending departure of Adrian Newey, placing his trust in the rest of the senior technical team.
Chief Technical Officer Newey will leave Red Bull after 19 seasons at the end of 2024, and has been heavily-linked with a move to Ferrari, with Aston Martin also keen on his services having made a big-money offer.

Ricciardo offers olive branch to Stroll following China collision
Daniel Ricciardo is unsure what the effect of any clear-the-air talks with Lance Stroll would achieve following their Chinese Grand Prix collision.
In Shanghai, as the safety car was coming into the pits, the field bunched up at the Turn 14 hairpin, with Stroll being caught off guard in the Aston Martin and ramming the RB of Daniel Ricciardo ahead.
