New host city announced for ‘ground-breaking’ F1 Exhibition

The immersive show was critically acclaimed when first staged in Madrid earlier this year.

F1 has announced Vienna as the next host city for the ‘ground-breaking’ Formula 1 Exhibition.

The show, which ‘combines immersive and interactive audio-visual design, never-before-seen films and images, educational exhibits, iconic artefacts and F1 cars’ from throughout the sport’s history – including a section dedicated to Romain Grosjean’s frightening Bahrain Grand Prix crash in 2020 – will open on at METAStadt Vienna on February 2 next year and run until late Spring.

The move to Austria follows a successful inaugural run in Madrid earlier this year, where it became the country’s biggest temporary show.

Rich history and heritage

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “Following the success of our first Formula 1 Exhibition in Madrid, we are incredibly excited to announce Vienna as the second host of the innovative show.

“Austria has a great history with Formula 1, so we are delighted to take this spectacle to the capital and provide fans in the country with another way of interacting and enjoying the sport’s rich history and heritage.”
